Together in Parkinson’s Podcast: PERSEVERE Study for Lewy Body Dementia

Last month our Together in Parkinson’s podcast covered a sweeping look at clinical trials. We investigated the various trial types, phases, and risk factors and explored ways you can locate a trial near you. This month on Together in Parkinson’s we did a deep dive into one particular trial – “The PERSEVERE Study,” which aims to support family caregivers of individuals with Parkinson’s and Lewy body dementia. 

We interviewed Dr. Jori Fleisher, MD, MSCE, FAAN, who directs the study. Dr. Fleisher shares her personal journey into the field of movement disorders, the challenges faced by caregivers, and the innovative approach of “The PERSEVERE Study,” which includes peer mentoring and a structured curriculum designed to empower caregivers.
