PRO SOCIAL CLUB October Meeting: Palm Springs Art Museum Private Tour

Join us for the PRO Social Club’s October outing, a private tour of the Palm Springs Art Museum. 

We will explore the six galleries on the third floor, and if time permits, we will check out exhibits on the other floors. 

One of the museum’s seasoned docents, Paul Zak, will lead this one-and-a-half to two-hour tour. 

After retiring from his career as a clinical social worker, Paul Zak became a volunteer docent for the museum. He has always had a passion for art and has been a museum docent for around six years. 

Christine Vendredi, the chief curator, has designed the third floor exhibits to showcase the highlights of the permanent collections that are located throughout the museum. The works are colorful, some are whimsical, others are architectural, and some are very historical. Christine Vendredi has a PhD in Art History from the Practical School for Advanced Studies in Paris and a PhD in Architectural History from Charles University in Prague. 

These spaces are accessible to all via elevators. Some movement is required between the exhibits. If walking tires you, consider bringing a walker, cane, or wheelchair to make the experience more relaxing. For those that need one, the museum has approximately 15 wheelchairs available for use upon request. 

Park in the north parking lot (right across from the City of PS parking garage). Meet at the elevator at the head of the stairs, just off the north parking lot.
