MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT OCTOBER 2013
Category: Message From The PresidentOMG, THANK YOU to everyone that sent wishes and donations in honor of my “big” birthday on the 26th of September. I am overjoyed with gratitude and humbled that before this newsletter went to graphics PRO had already received $42,000. Our staff, volunteers, and you are simply wonderful. Along with me, PRO, and the recipients of its efforts, appreciate you.
When you receive this newsletter I should be in Montreal, Canada at the 3rd World Parkinson’s Congress (WPC) along with several representatives from the SDBC and Dr. Ana Lorenz, our former Board Member. Will report to you next month.
The UPDATE ON “ROAD TO CURE PARKINSON’S”, which normally appears on this page, will resume next month as the Scientists have prepared for and are presenting “A Novel Blood Brain Barrier Permeable PET Ligand for Parkinson’s Disease” at the World Parkinson’s Congress (WPC) in Montreal. With only 25% of the abstract submissions selected for Poster Tours you can only imagine how thrilled I am to introduce the SDBC to those in attendance at the WPC. Look for #616.00, Thursday, October 3rd between 5:15pm and 6:45pm. Further details on the exact schedule of the tour will be outlined on the WPC website and in the Final Program. This is in addition to the lunchtime slot the SDBC has been given to showcase their work.
