MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT NOVEMBER 2013

The Volunteers and staff want to THANK ALL OF YOU that sent wishes and donations in honor of my “big” birthday in September. And although they collected only $59,518 they missed their $65,000 goal by $5,482. They want you to know they would still accept Roses for Rosen donations to make up that difference. For me, I am totally grateful. Take a look, we have acknowledged the donors as well as sentiments on our website. Along with me, PRO and the recipients of its efforts appreciate you.

CELEBRATING AN “OLYMPIC” ACHIEVEMENT AT THE WORLD PARKINSON CONGRESS (WPC) is my best effort at reporting the activities in Montreal last month. There was so much to do, learn and experience please read all about it.

The UPDATE ON “ROAD TO CURE PARKINSON’S,” on this page, includes a snippet of the WPC and educates you on how you can help bring this unique and proprietary Parkinson’s Research & Development Program to fruition.

Our good friend, Board Member and major supporter of PRO, Elder Law ATTORNEY WILLIAM REMERY lost the matriarch to his family, his mother Catherine “Cash” Remery. Through the years I believe you have been touched by Bill because he has been an integral part of PRO. With that in mind please consider sending your sentiments (and a donation if you wish) for us to add to the special tribute card we’ve made for the Remery family. Cash’s obituary can be found on our website.

FAMILY CAREGIVERS LIVE LONGER THAN THEIR PEERS a very interesting study that will surely give every caregiver a new perspective.

We give our heartfelt thanks and deep gratitude to all of the LOUISE’S TRATTORIA in the Los Angeles area for the “DINE AND DONATE” night. It was a super successful evening with delicious food and extraordinary service. We’ll report the results when we know them and we thank all of our volunteers who worked each location as well as you who participated.

IT’S CONFIRMED! IRONWOOD COUNTRY CLUB! A fabulous tournament at an incredible golf club to benefit Parkinson’s Resource Organization!  We would love your involvement: Play, volunteer, contribute your time, treasure OR talent to our wonderful event!
