Message from the President - May 2023
Category: Message From The PresidentWe are barely cooling our heels after a jam-packed Parkinson’s Awareness Month… can you believe we held four live presentations on The ABCs of Parkinson’s Disease, six PRO on the Move walks, one bingo fundraiser, and one Chocolate & Champagne Cocktail Soiree and Silent Auction? That’s twelve events in four weeks! It was a whirlwind, but we had so much fun seeing old faces, meeting new friends, growing our community, and spreading the word about services and programs available to people with Parkinson’s, caregivers, and family members.
As we enter May, we’re shifting gears… it’s time for remembrance. Every May, we take time to revisit our Memorial Wall, a special place to honor loved ones who have lost their battle with Parkinson’s. In conjunction with our national Memorial Day, we take time to grieve, remember, and celebrate these incredible legacies. More on that inside.
