Message from the President - January 2022

What will you do in twenty-two? We pray that it brings all of you new happiness, new goals, new achievements, and a lot of new inspirations. PRO wishes all, and particularly you, a year fully loaded with happiness. No one can go back in time to change the past. This New Year let’s work on our present to make ourselves a wonderful future. Happy New Year!

Our event “Pearls of Wisdom” was over-the-top, impactful and wonderful. Each story from each of the honorees or their representative spoke to the work that PRO does and has been doing for over 30 years. You can see the entire event by going to our website and clicking on ParkinsonsResource.org. 

Our Support Groups resume in January. We welcome you at the appropriate meeting, named Partners in Care (Caregivers only); Round Table (for People with Parkinson’s, their family and friends); Village Meetings (professionals from the Wellness Village teach the value of their services or products); The Movement: Use It or Lose It classes; The Mindfulness Focused Group; and the Grief Group covering “losses” experienced by People with Parkinson’s, Partners in Care and family members. Check out the Calendar on the back page and note the meetings that are happening this month. And stay tuned as we grow the different group types. 

Starting the New Year we’re excited to share: ON THE ROAD TO THE CURE, talking about how close a cure might be; then HYPERBARIC OXYGEN THERAPY & PARKINSON’S; 17 QUESTIONS DOCTORS WISH THEIR PATIENTS WOULD ASK; BE COURAGEOUS, GET OUT OF THE CROWD AND REACH NEW HEIGHTS; and NAVIGATING A CAREER WITH EARLY-ONSET PARKINSON’S DISEASE. 

We’ve made registering for meetings and donations much easier through our registration and donation portals on the website. In addition to donating, join us in becoming a key part of our advocacy efforts, contact us to “Get Involved” at ParkinsonsResource.org. Without YOU, we could never do all that we do.
