Have You Visited Our Memorial Wall?
Category: NewsletterEvery May we come together as a country to honor and mourn personnel who have died while serving in the U.S. military. It is a moment of remembrance, a collective pause to truly comprehend the magnitude of their service and sacrifice.
Parkinson’s is a battle in itself... and our mission is to ensure no one fights that battle alone. We have also created our own place of remembrance for the brave souls who have gone before us, for the caregivers, for the dedicated families that lift and support their front line soldiers.
The Parkinson’s Memorial Wall is a virtual place to hold the memory of someone who lived with Parkinson’s or Parkinsonisms, a place to grieve and heal, gain solace, and virtually ‘visit’ their loved ones. The Memorial Wall also serves as a compassionate means to honor and carry on the legacy of the beautiful souls we have already lost to Parkinson’s – a ‘show of force’ to demonstrate the true, human cost of this now-endemic disorder.
This May, keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram, where we will be profiling members of our Memorial Wall all month long. Do you have a loved one who should be on the Memorial Wall? Let us know! It would be an honor for us to add them to this communal legacy endeavor.
Like all our services, inclusion on the Memorial Wall is free, but maintenance takes effort. Consider becoming a sustaining sponsor today. Contact us to learn more at (877) 775-4111 or info@parkinsonsresource.org.
