Retired Registered Nurse
Suzanne "Sue" Lang is a wife, mother, and retired RN. She worked in cardiology for 20 years and served as a School Nurse for another 17 years. Despite her medical background, Sue says "nothing in my past prepared me for the emotional and psychological aspects of my current role as caregiver for my husband of 61 years, who has Parkinson's." In her new role as family caregiver since 2019, Sue is working harder now than ever before, "but I wouldn't have it any other way." Sue regularly attends PRO's in-person support groups with her husband Mickey, where they discuss the nuances of caregiving and the challenges inherent to medical access in Coachella Valley.
On February 8th we’re bringing together experts on Parkinson’s treatment, research, caregiving, and more to share their knowledge with you.
