MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT MAY 2013

With the Ides of March behind us we look forward to PARKINSON’S AWARENESS MONTH, April.

For those in the trenches of Parkinson’s, every day is Awareness Day. This month, do what you can to bring about visibility and let the rest of the world know it doesn’t always look or feel as easy as Michael J Fox looks when he appears on TV. Let’s raise the funds to bring “The Road to The Cure” to fruition.

I continually am awed by the momentum on “THE ROAD TO CURE PARKINSON’S,” but reporting on it this month has been delayed because the SDBC was involved in moving their offices and laboratory.

Other incredibly helpful and useful information to report this month is:

Until next month REMEMBER to celebrate April Fools Day on the 1st, Patriots Day on the 16th, Earth Day on the 22nd, and Arbor Day, Tree Planter’s holiday which has been celebrated since 1872. It is a day to plant and dedicate a tree to help nature and the environment. Millions of trees are planted on this day, the 30th.
